Efficient Tire Recycling with AERP
Proudly Alberta-owned since 1992, AERP products are found in materials and installations around the world. By redirecting over 15,000 tons of used tires away from landfills annually, AERP converts them into safe, fall-absorbent rubber crumb for use in playgrounds, sports fields, roofing products, and even Olympic venues.
Separate Rubber Crumb Products
As Alberta’s largest tire recycler, AERP’s challenge was to team with a screening expert to reliably separate their growing volume of near sized rubber crumb products – on a small footprint.
Counterflow Super Screen with Rubber Specification
AERP selected BM&M’s industry-leading Counterflow Super Screen (4-Deck configuration) to screen product in parallel to minus 30 mesh. BM&M’s rubber product experience ensured the Counterflow was supplied with our proven “Rubber Specification”, which included ball decks below the screens containing balls (for maximum energy recovery). In addition, BM&M tailored the machine’s slope, speed and stroke to AERP’s needs going forward.
What Our Customer Had to Say
I find the machine very efficient, low maintenance, and compact. I also like the ease of screen changes. We change the screens about 2 times a month with no problems.
Stig Nielsen, Maintenance Supervisor, AERP
We are proud to note that AERP returned only a few years after their initial purchase, to add a second BM&M machine - this time a 3-Deck Counterflow Super Screen.
