In 1975, after seeing how much success BM&M’s clients in the forest products industry had with our high-speed gyratory screening equipment, customers in the Vancouver grain market came to us for screening solutions for use in grain export, inland terminal, and feed mill applications. We welcomed this challenge, and set out to create screens that would meet the unique needs laid out by the grain industry.

Using our patented gyratory screening technology, we developed a screening solution that could process as much as 60-100 tons of cereal grain per hour—an impressive quantity even now, but especially big in the mid ‘70s.
BM&M’s newly designed Multi-Deck Grain Cleaner quickly replaced “traditional” reciprocating seed cleaner technology that struggled to screen efficiently at 30TPH. In the decades since, our high-speed screening systems have evolved, and efficiency and capacity has continued to improve. Our latest grain screening technology is capable of processing more than 300 tons of grain per hour, per machine.
High-Speed Gyratory Screens
Today, our high-speed gyratory technology operates at higher speeds and with larger strokes than grain screeners that use a gyro-reciprocating motion. This provides a much higher horizontal G-load for faster and more efficient screening, which translates to improved yield and improved ROI for our customers.
Grain Terminal Systems
Since 1992, we have partnered with ArrowCorp to provide complete Grain Cleaning System solutions for our clients. Incorporating our high speed gyratory screens and ArrowCorp’s product lines, these complete systems remove wild oats, chaff, weed seeds, volunteer grains, and other unwanted materials, while recovering broken and shrunken cereal grains like wheat and wheat heads.
ArrowCorp’s product lines include: length graders, aspirators, threshers, de-stoners and air systems.
