The BM&M Rotary Star Chip Feeder is used in wood chip applications to provide surge control, consistent feed rate, and full width distribution of chips across the entire width of a screen. The machine is bolted to the bottom of a suitably sized surge bin by means of a flanged connection.

A surge bin and feeder can reduce the size of your chip screen by reducing the surge capacity requirements of the screen, and by increasing the chip screen’s efficiency through even distribution. Standard practice is to use a feeder that is 1 to 2 feet narrower than the chip screen.
