Our Chip Screen and Super Screen gyratory screening systems are engineered to provide outstanding performance when working with a broad range of recyclables, from glass and metal to rubber and plastic to wood and biofuel materials. Patented gyratory drive technology lets our screeners operate at higher speeds (up to 330 RPM) and with larger strokes than similar equipment that uses reciprocating (back and forth) motion. Taken together, the enhanced speed and stroke produce a far greater horizontal G-load for faster, more efficient, and more effective screening—no matter what material you’re working with. The Five S’s of Screening for Recycling Applications
There are five critical performance factors to consider when choosing a high-speed screening machine. At BM&M Screening Solutions, we refer to them as the Five S’s:
Stroke: diameter of the horizontal circle created by the machine’s gyratory motion (7/8” to 2”)
- Slope: angle of the screen element above horizontal (generally from 3-9°, typically 5-7°)
- Speed: maximum continuous RPM of the screener (250-330 RPM—varies by application)
- Screen area: total square feet/square meters of the screen element needed for your application (from 12 ft2 to 400 ft2, per screen element)
